Interim VP Finance

An interim VP of Finance is needed to lead the FP&A organisation of approximately 15-16 professionals within a PE-backed, technology-enabled business. The role is a hands-on player-coach position, providing stability and direction following recent leadership changes. The engagement is expected to run for approximately two to four months, with an immediate start, based in New York with two days per week on-site.

The role spans forecasting, budgeting, long-range planning, financial modelling, and KPI reporting improvements. The successful candidate will also support post-merger integration and multi-system reporting, improve data integrity, reduce manual consolidation processes, and partner closely with executive leadership and the PE sponsor.

• Lead forecasting, budgeting, and long-range planning across the FP&A function
• Strengthen financial modelling and operational KPI reporting frameworks
• Mentor and develop a relatively junior FP&A team of 15-16 professionals
• Improve data integrity and reduce manual consolidation, cleansing, and validation processes
• Implement practical process improvements without disrupting day-to-day operations
• Support post-merger integration and multi-system reporting, partnering with the PE sponsor and executive leadership

• Proven experience as a senior finance leader in a PE-backed environment
• Background supporting technology-enabled businesses, SaaS, digital marketplaces, or professional services
• Experience managing complex, multi-entity organisations
• Strong FP&A capabilities including financial modelling, forecasting, and budgeting
• Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop finance teams
• Availability for an immediate start with two days per week on-site in New York
