Interim Finance Director

Phipps Cameron is recruiting an Interim Finance Director on behalf of a PE-backed manufacturing business entering exit preparation. The business requires an experienced operator who has navigated a comparable process before and can take immediate ownership of the finance function.

The FD will strengthen reporting frameworks, controls and processes, lead financial modelling and scenario analysis, and serve as a key business partner to senior leadership and the private equity sponsor. The role demands a highly pragmatic style, comfort operating at pace with senior stakeholders, and the ability to identify gaps and implement improvements without delay. Immediate availability is essential.

• Drive exit readiness across the finance function, ensuring all reporting and controls meet investor standards
• Strengthen financial reporting, internal controls and process quality ahead of exit
• Lead financial modelling, forecasting and scenario analysis
• Partner with senior leadership and the PE sponsor on strategic financial matters
• Own key finance projects and ad hoc priorities as they arise
• Provide hands-on leadership across the broader finance team

• Proven track record of delivering through a PE-backed exit process
• Experienced as an Interim Finance Director with demonstrable delivery in comparable roles
• Background in manufacturing, industrials or a complex operational environment preferred
• Strong technical finance capability including modelling and commercial analysis
• Comfortable working at pace alongside senior stakeholders and private equity sponsors
• Immediately available
