Interim Treasury Director, Strategic Resources (Ann Arbor)

This interim treasury leadership role sits within BDO USA's Strategic Resources practice, supporting a client's treasury function through a transitional period. The position carries responsibility for cash flow oversight, liquidity management, banking relationships, and compliance with internal policies and external regulations. The role also involves producing board materials, reviewing shareholder financial statement support schedules, and working across finance and accounting teams to optimise cash management.

The work schedule is described as sporadic and fluctuating, reflecting the interim nature of the engagement. The successful candidate will support a handover to a permanent Treasury leader while maintaining financial stability and accurate fund records throughout.

• Supervise and direct treasury team staff, supporting day-to-day operations and professional development
• Review expense budgets, accrual recommendations, and invoice allocations to ensure accuracy and contractual compliance
• Prepare and review board materials, including contribution to the annual 15c review process
• Review shareholder financial statement support schedules for semi-annual and annual reporting cycles
• Oversee and approve N-1A and 24f-2 regulatory filings, and manage 1099 preparation for trustees
• Collaborate with Product and Finance teams on scenario modelling, new product analysis, and competitive expense benchmarking

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration (Master's preferred)
• Five or more years of treasury management experience
• Two or more years in a finance leadership role
• Familiarity with treasury management systems such as Kyriba or SAP Treasury, and ERP platforms including NetSuite or Oracle
• Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) or CPA designation preferred
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities
