Strategic Finance Manager, Client Advisory

This role sits at the intersection of hands-on financial analysis and senior strategic advisory. You will own the finance function across a portfolio of founder-led Australian companies at varying stages, from businesses establishing their first formal finance function through to those raising capital or expanding internationally. Work spans three-way forecasting, monthly reporting restructures, cash flow strategy, pricing and unit economics, and high-stakes moments such as capital raises and due diligence support.

Scale Suite operates as an embedded, full-stack finance team for its clients rather than a traditional accounting practice. AI tools are in daily use, turnaround expectations are measured in days rather than weeks, and the role carries a clear progression path toward a Client CFO position as your portfolio grows. Remote-first, flat structure, and direct access to founders on both sides of the relationship.

• Own strategic finance delivery across a portfolio of growing Australian businesses, including forecasting, reporting, and cash flow strategy
• Build three-way financial models and forecasts from scratch, defending assumptions with commercial rigour
• Restructure monthly management reporting to reflect each client's actual business model and communicate results clearly to founders
• Advise on pricing, unit economics, and capital structure, including support for equity raises and financing negotiations
• Identify financial risks and opportunities across the portfolio proactively, ahead of client requests
• Support high-stakes transactions including due diligence, subsidiary set-up, and cross-border expansion

• Background in FP&A, commercial finance, corporate finance, deals, or business advisory at a senior level
• Strong financial modelling capability, including three-way forecasts built from a blank sheet
• Sharp understanding of unit economics, margins, cash conversion, and pricing mechanics
• Ability to translate complex financial data into plain language for founder and CEO audiences
• Comfortable working autonomously in a remote-first environment with fast turnaround expectations
• Familiarity with AI tools as part of everyday workflow; CA, CPA, CFA or equivalent experience welcomed but not mandatory
