Perplexity is hiring a contract Recruiting Coordinator to support its hiring engine at pace. The role sits at the centre of the candidate experience, keeping interview logistics, stakeholder communication, and scheduling running smoothly across complex calendars and time zones. The position is hybrid, with in-office attendance required Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, and runs at 40 hours per week at $40-$43 per hour.
The successful candidate will operate with a high degree of independence, proactively identifying gaps in process and building structure where it does not yet exist. Beyond coordination, the role involves initiating and driving improvements to recruiting workflows as the team scales.
- Manage end-to-end candidate experience from first contact through to final decision, ensuring every interaction is seamless and considered
- Coordinate and schedule interviews across competing calendars, multiple time zones, and shifting priorities
- Partner with recruiters, interviewers, and hiring managers by anticipating needs and communicating proactively
- Operate independently in ambiguous situations, making sound judgement calls and creating structure where none exists
- Identify and drive projects that improve and scale recruiting processes as the organisation grows
- Handle logistics, administrative tasks, and ad-hoc recruiting support with accuracy and urgency
- 1-3 years of experience in a Recruiting Coordinator, Administrative Assistant, or high-volume scheduling role
- Comfortable operating with incomplete information and taking initiative without waiting for direction
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously without losing detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a proactive and warm follow-through style
- Ability to work independently and adapt quickly in a rapidly changing startup environment
- Proficiency with applicant tracking systems, with Ashby experience preferred
