Impact Interim Executive Director
A travel-based interim leadership role overseeing full operations and regulatory compliance across Americare senior living communities during leadership transitions and vacancies.
The Impact Interim Executive Director (also known as Interim Floating Administrator) takes on full administrative and operational responsibility for assigned Americare communities across Missouri, Illinois, Kansas, Tennessee, and Mississippi. Assignments vary in length and are deployed during leadership gaps, survey readiness periods, performance recovery, or transition support.
The role carries complete authority over day-to-day operations, team stabilisation, regulatory compliance, financial stewardship, and stakeholder engagement. On-call availability of up to 24 hours per day is required during assignments, and travel of up to 80-100% is expected. Travel, lodging, mileage reimbursement, and meal allowances are provided under Americare's Impact Staffing Programme guidelines.
- Assume full operational leadership of assigned communities, maintaining continuity and performance during leadership vacancies or transitions.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable state and federal regulations, and lead communities through survey preparation, response, and recovery.
- Direct, stabilise, and coach community leadership teams and frontline staff, supporting recruitment and onboarding of key personnel as needed.
- Oversee fiscal operations including budget management, expense control, and stewardship of physical and financial assets.
- Represent the community professionally with residents, families, physicians, and regulatory agencies, upholding Americare's values and standards.
- Maintain 24-hour on-call availability during assignments and respond promptly to urgent operational or staffing needs.
- Current state Administrator licence or certification as required by state regulations, with MO/IL licensure preferred.
- Strong knowledge of assisted living and/or skilled nursing operations, including medical terminology, medication management, and narcotic protocols.
- Demonstrated experience leading teams and stabilising operational performance in senior living environments.
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to build trust quickly in new and unfamiliar settings.
- High adaptability and comfort with frequent travel of up to 80-100%, including assignments initiated with limited notice.
- Ability to maintain licensure across multiple states as required by assignment locations.
