StevenDouglas is working with a global manufacturing client to place an Interim Controller for a six-month hybrid engagement based in North Austin. The role carries full accountability for accounting operations, financial reporting, internal controls, and compliance across a complex, cross-border manufacturing environment spanning multiple plants and entities.
The successful candidate will lead close processes, manage external audits, oversee multi-entity consolidations, and drive ERP optimisation and finance transformation efforts. They will also build and develop regional accounting teams and partner with FP&A on forecasting and profitability analysis. CPA preferred; manufacturing, multi-site, and SAP or Oracle experience is required.
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes for North America
- Oversee consolidation of multi-plant, multi-entity operations and ensure US GAAP and IFRS compliance
- Design, implement, and maintain internal control systems and financial governance standards
- Coordinate external audits and lead internal audit remediation initiatives
- Develop regional accounting teams and build scalable, continuous-improvement processes
- Drive ERP optimisation and finance transformation, and support budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning
- CPA strongly preferred, or equivalent experience in a senior finance leadership capacity
- Experience in a public or publicly traded company environment
- Manufacturing industry background required, with significant multi-site and shared services exposure
- ERP experience required, including SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms
- Comfortable operating in fast-paced, evolving cross-border environments
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills across operations, supply chain, HR, and commercial teams
