Interim Head of Marketing - 12-month contract

This interim role covers a 12-month maternity assignment within the marketing function of a well-regarded UK law firm that has active growth ambitions. Reporting directly to the CMO, the successful candidate will oversee marketing, communications, digital and brand strategy across the firm.

The position involves managing and developing an established marketing team, working closely with firm partners and senior leadership to shape strategy, deliver campaigns, and drive client engagement across key practice areas and sectors. A collaborative working style and strong stakeholder management capability are essential.

• Lead the firm's marketing, communications, digital and brand strategy for the duration of the contract
• Manage and develop a marketing team, providing clear direction and ongoing coaching
• Partner with firm partners and senior leadership to align marketing activity with business priorities
• Plan and deliver high-impact campaigns that strengthen the firm's profile across key sectors
• Drive client engagement initiatives and support business development efforts
• Report to the CMO and contribute to firm-wide strategic planning

• Senior marketing leadership experience, ideally within a professional services or legal environment
• Demonstrated ability to manage and develop marketing teams
• Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills across senior levels
• Experience shaping and executing brand and communications strategy
• Collaborative working style with excellent interpersonal and people management skills
• Availability for a 12-month on-site engagement in Greater London
