A 12-month interim Finance Director engagement at a global EdTech company, leading finance transformation across systems, processes and team capability development.
Tes is a global EdTech organisation supporting schools and educators worldwide. The finance function is currently undergoing significant transformation, encompassing systems, processes and operating model changes including ERP, Salesforce, billing and pricing initiatives. This interim role sits at the centre of that change programme.
The successful candidate will combine hands-on finance leadership with structured transformation delivery, coaching a designated successor and building broader team capability in commercial partnering and new tooling. The role requires close collaboration with IT, Sales Operations, Commercial Finance and external implementation partners, as well as direct reporting to the CEO, CFO and executive governance forums on progress, risks and key decisions.
- Assess current finance systems and processes, then develop and execute a prioritised transformation roadmap.
- Drive improvements across month-end close, forecasting, reporting, controls and automation.
- Act as finance lead across ERP and finance systems programmes, defining requirements for controls, reporting, data quality and revenue recognition.
- Own finance sign-off for testing, cutover and post-go-live stabilisation activities.
- Coach and develop a designated successor and build broader team capability in commercial partnering and new processes.
- Report transformation progress, risks and key decisions to the CEO, CFO and executive governance groups.
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with experience at Finance Director or Financial Controller level.
- Demonstrated track record delivering finance transformation across systems, processes and operating model.
- Experience leading finance requirements within ERP or finance systems implementations.
- Strong coaching and leadership skills with a history of developing finance talent.
- Confident engaging and influencing C-suite and board-level stakeholders.
- Desirable: Salesforce-to-ERP integration, CPQ or billing systems experience, and prior interim leadership assignments.
