Evoke Management is building a portfolio of experienced fractional directors and is seeking a technology leader to support ambitious businesses across London and the wider UK. The role involves working part-time across multiple client engagements, advising founders, MDs and CEOs on product development, engineering team leadership, and technology strategy. Work is delivered through a hybrid model of in-person and remote engagement.
The ideal candidate brings strong commercial awareness alongside deep technical expertise. You will need to quickly understand each client's business challenges, translate them into practical technology initiatives, and build trusted relationships with senior leadership. This is a self-employed arrangement, offering flexibility and control over your working life.
- Advise client leadership teams on technology strategy and platform development priorities
- Lead and develop engineering teams across multiple client engagements
- Translate commercial challenges into actionable technology roadmaps
- Build trusted relationships with founders, CEOs and senior stakeholders
- Support clients in scaling commercial software products and platforms
- Collaborate with fellow fractional directors within the Evoke Management network
- 15 or more years of experience in software engineering, product development or technology leadership
- Demonstrated track record building and scaling commercial software products or platforms
- Experience leading and developing engineering teams
- Strong emotional intelligence and stakeholder management capability
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical founders and executives
- Based in or near London, available for hybrid in-person and remote client work
