Controller - Los Angeles, CA - Full-Time or Part-Time

Your Part-Time Controller, LLC (YPTC) is a nationally recognised outsourced accounting firm specialising in nonprofit organisations. This Controller position serves the greater Los Angeles region, including Orange County and San Diego, and requires comfort working across multiple client engagements both virtually and on-site. The role involves regular interaction with client staff, Boards of Directors, and Finance Committees.

The position suits an experienced accounting professional with a genuine interest in the nonprofit sector. YPTC offers a hybrid work environment, flexible scheduling, professional development support, and both full-time and part-time arrangements. Starting base salary for a full-time 35-hour week is $100,000 to $135,000, with overtime eligibility and bonus potential.

• Serve as outsourced Controller or CFO for a portfolio of nonprofit clients
• Prepare financial reports for management, Board, and Finance Committee decision-making
• Recommend and implement improvements to accounting processes, internal controls, and compliance policies
• Manage transactional activities including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, reconciliations, and month-end close
• Oversee grant management, cost allocations, and funder reporting
• Coordinate and manage the annual audit process

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
• 5 to 7 or more years of accounting experience
• Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Experience with multiple general ledger packages, particularly QuickBooks, and electronic bill pay systems
• Ability to manage multiple client relationships independently and respond promptly
• CPA certification is a plus; bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
