Part-Time Controller (1099 Contractor)
An ongoing fractional Controller engagement to own the monthly close in Acumatica, produce consolidated financials, and deliver rolling cash-flow reporting for a wholesale and retail jewellery business.
American Ring Source, trading wholesale under Jess Jewelry Designs and retail under Diamonds Rock, is seeking an experienced fractional Controller on an ongoing 1099 basis. The engagement covers monthly and period close in Acumatica, reconciliations, inventory valuation, accruals, and a consolidated P&L and balance sheet with sales by division, all delivered by the 15th of each month.
The contractor will also produce rolling cash-flow reports and the year-end package for the tax CPA. AP, AR, payroll, sales tax, and cash handling are all managed in-house and outside this scope. The books are in good shape and this is not a cleanup project. Work is mostly remote with required presence at the Cincinnati office around close periods. Prior fractional or contract controller experience is required; Acumatica or comparable ERP familiarity is an advantage.
- Own the monthly and period close process in Acumatica
- Prepare reconciliations, accruals, and inventory valuations
- Deliver a consolidated P&L and balance sheet with sales by division by the 15th of each month
- Produce rolling cash-flow reports on a regular basis
- Compile the year-end package for the external tax CPA
- Coordinate with in-house AP and AR staff as needed to support accurate close
- Proven experience as a Controller on a contract or fractional basis
- Solid understanding of month-end close, reconciliations, and consolidated financial reporting
- Familiarity with Acumatica ERP or a comparable mid-market ERP system
- Ability to attend the Cincinnati office around close periods, with the majority of work conducted remotely
- Available to commit to roughly 20-25 hours per month on an ongoing basis
- Two references from prior fractional or contract clients required
