This partner-level CIO advisory position sits within Cognizant's Technology Consulting practice, working alongside Fortune 200 clients to set strategic direction and build transformation capabilities. Engagements span digital strategy, enterprise architecture, data strategy, platform modernisation, and large-scale program delivery.
The role operates on a hybrid model requiring three days per week in a Cognizant or client office within the United States. Candidates should expect up to 40% travel and must hold cloud certifications in AWS, Azure, or GCP. Domain knowledge in Energy and Utilities is a requirement, and a background spanning at least 15 years in consulting or advisory roles is expected.
- Lead consulting engagements across IT strategy, enterprise architecture, data strategy, and platform modernisation for large enterprise clients.
- Define future-state operating models, governance frameworks, and workforce strategies for IT organisations.
- Build business cases and financial models to support technology investment decisions.
- Conduct application portfolio rationalisation and IT cost optimisation assessments.
- Support proposal development and contribute to business development activities.
- Mentor and upskill consulting team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- 20 or more years in Information Technology, with at least 15 years in consulting or advisory roles.
- Deep expertise across at least three areas: IT strategy, data strategy, enterprise architecture, platform modernisation, cloud, agile delivery, or application rationalisation.
- Industry domain knowledge in Energy and Utilities.
- Active cloud certification in AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Proven experience in cloud migration, service management, and IT business process re-engineering.
- Legally authorised to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
