Interim CFO / Director of Finance

This interim CFO role sits across multiple North American legal entities and currencies, stepping in during a period of operational and structural change. The successful candidate will assess the current finance environment, close gaps in controls and reconciliations, and support the stabilisation of an ERP implementation. The position requires a balance of strategic leadership and hands-on execution, including complex accounting, cash management, payroll, and high-volume commission environments.

The role carries significant Board and executive visibility, with responsibility for financial reporting to senior stakeholders. A CPA with IFRS and/or US GAAP experience and a background in multi-entity, cross-border operations is required. Experience in financial services, insurance, or commission-heavy business models is considered an asset.

• Own the finance and accounting function across multiple North American entities, ensuring accurate and timely reporting to executive leadership and Board-level audiences.
• Evaluate existing accounting processes, identify gaps, and implement sustainable improvements to month-end and year-end close procedures.
• Lead stabilisation and optimisation of an ERP implementation, covering data migration, process alignment, and reporting integrity.
• Strengthen controls, reconciliations, cash management, payroll, and commission-related processes.
• Partner with executive leadership to support strategic decision-making and business growth across multiple jurisdictions and currencies.
• Drive accountability within the finance team while navigating a high-volume, complex commission and compensation environment.

• CPA designation required.
• Demonstrated experience stabilising, rebuilding, or upgrading finance functions in complex environments.
• Strong technical accounting skills with IFRS and/or US GAAP reporting experience.
• Experience leading or supporting ERP implementations or system optimisation projects.
• Multi-entity, multi-currency, and cross-border operations experience.
• Comfortable balancing strategic leadership with day-to-day execution, with strong communication skills for non-finance audiences.
