A fractional CFO role with a growing advisory firm, leading multi-client engagements, owning financial strategy and client relationships across a portfolio of businesses.
Prosper CFO is looking for an experienced fractional CFO to operate across a portfolio of clients with genuine autonomy. You will set strategic financial direction, build roadmaps, and deliver sharp forecasting, reporting, and cash planning. You will also take decisive action when clients need it most, whether securing credit facilities, restructuring operations, or deploying new systems.
A team of accountants and analysts supports the work so you can stay focused on forward-looking, high-impact activity. The firm prefers candidates based in Central Texas or with easy access to a major airport, though this is not a strict requirement. Multi-client or fractional consulting experience, or prior CFO-level responsibility at a business above $30M in revenue, is strongly preferred.
- Own client relationships, building credibility and trust through directness and consistent delivery
- Develop business and personal financial goals for clients, then build and execute the plan to achieve them
- Prepare and present financial reports, forecasts, and analysis with precision and clarity
- Act decisively on high-impact matters such as securing credit lines, restructuring operations, and implementing new systems
- Identify risks and emerging problems early, bringing solutions rather than observations
- Drive business development activity and create new opportunities for the firm
- 10 or more years in fast-moving, high-growth finance environments at Controller, VP of Finance, CFO, or equivalent level
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple client priorities simultaneously without losing accuracy or momentum
- Mastery of financial modelling, reporting, and connecting operational drivers to financial outcomes
- Confidence presenting P&Ls, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and complex analysis to varied audiences
- Advanced Excel skills and working fluency with cloud-based tools and AI
- Experience in fractional or multi-client consulting, or leading finance for a business above $30M in revenue (preferred)
