Fractional Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Nmble Hiring Solutions is a growing, founder-led staffing and talent solutions firm offering direct-hire, contract, and consulting services across several professional specialties. The business is building the financial infrastructure required to scale responsibly, and is seeking a hands-on fractional CFO who understands the cash-flow dynamics of the staffing industry.

This is a part-time, 1099 consulting engagement structured for an initial intensive implementation phase followed by lighter ongoing support. The CFO will assess current processes, build practical reporting systems, oversee commission and payroll functions, and advise founders on growth decisions. Over time, they will help determine which responsibilities can be transitioned to a part-time bookkeeper or finance specialist.

• Develop a scalable financial operating system using QuickBooks and existing business platforms
• Build and maintain a 13-week cash-flow forecast, annual budgets, and rolling scenario-planning models
• Produce monthly financial reports and founder-level scorecards tracking revenue, margin, and budget-to-actual performance
• Establish and oversee accurate monthly commission calculations and internal payroll support
• Evaluate contractor payroll exposure, working-capital needs, and accounts-receivable and collections processes
• Advise on payroll-funding options, credit facilities, and financial triggers for hiring and technology investment decisions

• Meaningful experience advising staffing, recruiting, or professional-services firms with multi-state operations
• Strong understanding of direct-hire and contract-staffing economics, contractor payroll, and employer-of-record relationships
• Previous experience in a CFO, fractional CFO, VP of Finance, or senior financial advisory capacity
• Strong QuickBooks proficiency and demonstrated ability to build cash-flow forecasts, budgets, and management reports
• Ability to translate financial data into clear, actionable recommendations for business owners
• Comfortable operating in a small, entrepreneurial, founder-led organisation with a practical and cost-conscious approach
