Fractional CFO Consultant / CFO Services Senior Manager

This role sits within GHJ's CFO Advisory Services practice, working directly with business owners and executive teams across diverse industries. The engagement combines hands-on fractional CFO consulting with financial strategy, operational improvement, and client relationship development. You will lead multiple client engagements simultaneously, bringing structure and clarity to financial performance, reporting, and decision-making.

Beyond day-to-day advisory work, the role includes supporting special projects such as buy-side and sell-side due diligence, acquisitions, refinancing, and restructuring initiatives. You will also contribute to growing the firm's CFO advisory practice by developing referral relationships and identifying opportunities to deepen existing client engagements.

• Lead fractional CFO engagements for clients across multiple industries, managing competing priorities and timelines.
• Develop financial models, budgets, forecasts, and strategic financial plans tailored to each client's needs.
• Build cash-flow management and forecasting tools to improve financial visibility for owner-led businesses.
• Evaluate accounting and finance functions, recommend process improvements, and assess ERP systems.
• Support mergers and acquisitions, due diligence, refinancing, and restructuring activities for clients.
• Identify opportunities to expand client relationships and collaborate with internal teams to develop new advisory engagements.

• Significant progressive experience in accounting, financial leadership, or advisory services.
• Demonstrated background in fractional CFO services, financial consulting, or senior corporate finance roles.
• Strong financial modelling, budgeting, forecasting, and cash-flow management capabilities.
• Experience advising business owners and executive leadership teams on financial strategy.
• Ability to manage multiple client engagements concurrently while maintaining high service quality.
• CPA designation and prior experience with a CPA firm or CFO advisory practice preferred.
