Fractional Chief Financial Officer

Frederick Fox is recruiting a fractional CFO for a prestigious, century-old member-owned private golf club undergoing a significant clubhouse expansion and broader facilities reinvestment. The role combines senior oversight of day-to-day club finances with direct financial ownership of the capital programme, from long-range planning and funding strategy through to contractor payments, AIA pay applications and project close-out.

The CFO will work closely with the General Manager, Treasurer and Finance Committee, and will serve as the primary financial adviser to the Board of Governors. This is a hands-on role suited to someone with a track record of steering major construction or renovation projects in a private club, hospitality or real estate context.

• Oversee annual operating and capital budgets in partnership with the General Manager and Controller
• Review monthly financial statements, cash position and departmental performance reporting
• Build and maintain a multi-year capital plan covering the clubhouse, golf course, grounds and member amenities
• Develop project budgets, cash-flow forecasts and funding strategies including reserves, member assessments and debt financing
• Partner with the owner's representative, architects and contractors on cost estimates, contracts and change orders
• Prepare and present financial materials for the Board of Governors, Finance Committee and annual member meetings

• 10 or more years of progressive finance leadership, including CFO, VP Finance or Controller experience
• Direct financial ownership of at least one major capital project from planning through close-out
• Hands-on experience with construction accounting, including AIA pay applications, retainage, change orders and cost-to-complete reporting
• Demonstrated ability to structure project funding through reserves, assessments or debt
• Strong communication skills with boards and non-financial stakeholders
• CPA or equivalent professional credential
