This interim CFO position sits within a PE-backed SaaS business operating at significant scale, located in Central London. The engagement is structured over six months, with attendance expected in the office three to four days per week and the remainder remote. The successful candidate will serve as a strategic partner to the CEO and executive leadership, providing financial direction and operational rigour during a period of active growth, M&A activity, and systems transformation.
The CFO will carry responsibility across the full finance function, including FP&A, commercial finance, and financial control. A major ERP implementation is underway alongside a broader finance transformation programme, both of which require executive sponsorship and hands-on oversight. Strong PE investor relations and board-level credibility are central to the remit.
- Partner with the CEO to drive business performance and organisational alignment across the executive team.
- Lead senior finance teams spanning FP&A, commercial finance, and financial control.
- Manage relationships with private equity investors and board stakeholders, including reporting and engagement.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, cash management, and operational finance performance.
- Provide executive sponsorship for a multi-phase finance transformation programme and major ERP implementation.
- Support growth initiatives, acquisitions, and post-acquisition integration activities.
- Significant CFO experience in PE-backed environments, ideally with investor-ready board presence.
- SaaS sector background within businesses of £200M or greater in turnover.
- Demonstrated leadership of senior finance teams through periods of transformation and growth.
- Commercially oriented mindset, with strength in operational finance rather than purely technical or reporting functions.
- Experience managing M&A activity, including integration and due diligence support.
- International exposure across multi-country operations preferred.
