Interim Chief Financial Officer - Confidential

McLean Public is supporting a confidential professional membership organisation and charity in appointing an interim CFO. The role is executive in nature, requiring hands-on involvement across financial controls, planning, and recovery during a period of significant organisational change. Two days per week on-site in the Midlands is required.

The successful candidate will bring prior experience in financial turnaround, recovery, or restructuring within a commercial or charity environment, along with relevant accounting qualifications. Strong judgement and a practical mindset are essential given the organisation's current stage of recovery.

• Strengthen financial controls and governance oversight across the organisation.
• Improve forecasting capability and develop medium-term financial planning processes.
• Support the organisation's financial recovery and build sustainable performance.
• Provide clear commercial and financial insight to executive decision-making.
• Attend Midlands offices two days per week to ensure effective on-site leadership.

• Proven track record as a CFO or Finance Director with turnaround or restructuring experience.
• Experience working within or alongside charities or not-for-profit organisations.
• Strong commercial mindset combined with a practical, hands-on approach.
• Relevant professional accounting qualifications.
• Ability to operate on-site in the Midlands two days per week.
• Available to engage on an interim basis, inside IR35.
