An interim CFO role with a PE-backed technology and services business in Central London, leading financial exit-readiness, transaction workstreams and value creation ahead of a potential exit.
Cedar is partnering with an established private equity-backed technology and services business in Central London to appoint an Interim CFO on a six-month contract. The business has grown significantly during its investment period and is now approaching a potential exit, requiring focused leadership to maintain performance and maximise value through the transaction process.
The Interim CFO will work directly with the CEO, Board and PE investor to lead the financial exit-readiness programme. This is a hands-on mandate encompassing vendor due diligence, Quality of Earnings, data-room preparation, buyer diligence responses and ongoing trading performance. The role requires 2-3 days per week in Central London on a hybrid basis.
- Lead financial exit-readiness and prepare all materials for buyer diligence.
- Develop and substantiate the financial equity story, covering historic performance and the future growth opportunity.
- Build, own and defend a robust forecast and long-range financial plan.
- Drive EBITDA, margin, cash and working capital improvements ahead of exit.
- Lead vendor due diligence, Quality of Earnings and the broader finance transaction workstream.
- Ensure MI and KPI reporting clearly reflects underlying commercial performance throughout the sale process.
- Experienced CFO or Finance Director with a strong private equity background.
- Demonstrable track record delivering a PE-backed exit or similarly complex transaction.
- Solid vendor due diligence and Quality of Earnings experience.
- Strong FP&A, financial modelling, forecasting and management information capability.
- Comfortable engaging directly with PE investors, Boards and external transaction advisers.
- ACA qualification preferred; technology, software, data or B2B services background advantageous.
