This is a senior advisory appointment for a fractional CFO to partner directly with the founder of a hyper-growth, entrepreneurially led e-commerce business. The company has scaled rapidly and the group structure and finance function have not kept pace, creating an opportunity for an experienced finance leader to bring strategic clarity, tax efficiency and rigorous financial discipline.
The engagement is structured on a flexible advisory basis, typically a few days per month, with scope to vary depending on business demands. The successful candidate will have a meaningful impact on how the business is structured and governed at a pivotal point in its growth trajectory.
- Advise the founder on financial strategy and key commercial decisions
- Review and improve the efficiency of the current group and legal structure
- Partner with banks, auditors and external advisors to maximise business outcomes
- Assess and optimise the group's overall tax position across entities
- Strengthen financial controls, reporting and visibility across the business
- Support cash flow management, funding decisions and investment planning as the business scales
- Proven track record as a CFO or senior finance leader within high-growth, founder-led businesses
- Direct experience simplifying or restructuring complex group entities
- Strong background in tax efficiency and optimisation across multi-entity groups
- Experience developing and upskilling early-stage or underdeveloped finance teams
- Comfortable operating in a fractional, advisory or portfolio capacity
- E-commerce or high-growth consumer sector experience is essential
