Chief Financial Officer (Part-Time)

ADFAC, LLC is a private investment partnership with offices in Honolulu and Los Angeles. The engagement centres on Hawaiian Cool Water, a water-treatment and equipment-leasing business, and related interests. The CFO will serve as the hands-on financial partner to ownership, managing the full finance function on an independent-contractor basis at approximately 40-50 hours per month.

The role is 100% remote with flexibility in scheduling, though availability during Pacific or Hawaii business hours is required. Transition support from the outgoing CFO is included. This is a sustained, single-client engagement with no business development obligations.

• Manage monthly close, financial reporting, and GAAP compliance
• Prepare budgets, rolling forecasts, and budget-to-actual variance analysis
• Oversee fixed-asset and lessor accounting for equipment-leasing operations
• Maintain banking relationships, monitor covenant compliance, and manage cash
• Coordinate tax planning with the external CPA firm
• Coach and develop one in-house Accounting Specialist

• CPA qualification strongly preferred, with 7+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience
• Big Four or Big Five background is advantageous
• Hands-on controller discipline combined with executive-level financial judgement
• Familiarity with recurring-revenue metrics including MRR, churn, and margin
• Available during Pacific or Hawaii business hours
• Comfortable operating as a 1099 independent contractor on a long-term basis
