Fractional CFO

Acuity Associates is recruiting a Fractional CFO on behalf of a growing, multi-site organisation in Glasgow. The engagement is hybrid, requiring approximately one to two days per week, and calls for a senior finance leader who can operate strategically while remaining hands-on with day-to-day delivery.

The CFO will take ownership of cash flow visibility across multiple sites, strengthen financial systems and controls, and build the reporting infrastructure needed to support fundraising, M&A activity and eventual exit. The role suits someone who can provide clear commercial guidance while simultaneously professionalising the finance function to support continued expansion. • Oversee cash flow across multiple sites, maintaining clear visibility of the organisation's financial position and funding needs.
• Deliver financial planning, forecasting and risk management to underpin sustainable growth.
• Professionalise financial systems, processes and controls, establishing consistent reporting standards.
• Develop financial models and supporting documentation to prepare the business for fundraising, M&A and exit readiness.
• Ensure the finance function is structured to withstand investor scrutiny and due diligence.
• Provide strategic commercial guidance alongside practical, hands-on financial delivery.

• Proven background as a CFO, Finance Director or senior finance leader, preferably within a multi-site business.
• Strong expertise in cash flow management, financial planning and forecasting.
• Demonstrated track record of improving financial systems, processes and controls in growth-stage organisations.
• Sound commercial judgement with the ability to translate strategy into practical outcomes.
• Experience supporting fundraising, M&A preparation or exit processes is advantageous.
