Astrix is recruiting an Interim TA Director to lead a newly formed global Talent Acquisition function for a life sciences company that develops and manufactures materials used in biologic drug production. The engagement is an 8-month contract beginning in early October, covering a leave, and requires a minimum of three days onsite per week in Middlesex County, MA.
The role demands a hands-on, senior leader who can step into a complex, fast-moving environment and keep global recruiting operations running smoothly. Responsibilities span day-to-day team leadership, end-to-end recruiting process oversight, Workday Recruiting administration, RPO and vendor management, and direct support for senior-level and business-critical searches across Corporate, Commercial, Operations, APAC, and EU hiring.
- Lead and coach a newly established global Talent Acquisition team, including recruiters covering Corporate, Commercial, Operations, APAC, and EU functions.
- Serve as the primary TA partner to business leaders and HRBPs, providing guidance on recruiting priorities and responding to shifting business needs.
- Oversee end-to-end global recruiting processes, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and a positive candidate experience.
- Manage recruiting operations within Workday, including requisition assignments, workflow troubleshooting, and process administration.
- Provide direct support for complex, senior-level, and business-critical searches while keeping priority pipelines on track.
- Manage RPO and vendor relationships, support transition of RPO activities to the internal team, and ensure compliance with employment law, pay transparency, and data privacy requirements.
- 10 or more years of progressive Talent Acquisition experience, including team management or leadership responsibilities.
- Demonstrated experience leading global or geographically distributed TA teams across multiple functions.
- Hands-on expertise with Workday Recruiting, covering requisition management, workflow administration, and troubleshooting.
- Proven track record managing recruiting vendors, RPO providers, and external recruiting partners.
- Strong knowledge of employment law, pay transparency requirements, data privacy standards, and recruiting compliance.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
