Interim Operations Director - Transformation & Technology

Starfish Search is partnering with a leading international charity to appoint an experienced interim leader at a pivotal point in its transformation journey. The organisation is mid-way through a significant change programme and requires a senior technology figure to provide direction, structure and cohesion across its technology function.

The role involves serving as the most senior technology voice internally, coordinating closely with broader transformation leadership across multiple strategic workstreams, and redesigning the technology roadmap and strategy. The post-holder will bring fresh thinking on innovation and modernisation, shape target operating model approaches, and maintain strong engagement with the Senior Leadership Team throughout a period of substantial organisational change. This is a 12-month interim assignment.

• Act as the organisation's most senior technology leader, providing direction and line management across technology teams
• Coordinate the charity's involvement across a multi-workstream transformation programme, ensuring alignment with senior transformation leadership
• Lead the redesign of the technology roadmap and strategy, introducing innovation and modernisation thinking
• Shape target operating model approaches appropriate to the organisation's scale and sector
• Maintain regular SLT briefings and build credible relationships with senior stakeholders across and beyond the organisation
• Hold the various threads of technology-related change together, ensuring effective engagement and progress tracking

• Proven senior technology leadership background, ideally at enterprise scale
• Track record of leading large-scale transformation or organisational design programmes across multiple stakeholder groups
• Experience coordinating complex, multi-workstream change initiatives
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to brief and influence at SLT and board level
• Familiarity with target operating model design and technology strategy development
• Ability to commit to a 12-month interim assignment
