Senior HR Consultant (Fractional Head of People)

In this fractional Head of People role, you will manage a portfolio of clients across diverse industries, working directly alongside CEOs, founders, and executive teams. The work spans the full HR spectrum, from advising on organisational design and succession planning to rolling up your sleeves on compliance audits, policy development, and compensation structures.

No two days are alike. You may be facilitating an executive leadership session one day and coaching a manager through a difficult performance conversation the next. This role suits an experienced HR leader who thrives on variety, moves fluidly between strategy and execution, and is motivated by helping growing businesses build strong people foundations.

• Advise CEOs and executive teams on organisational design, workforce planning, and leadership development
• Guide clients through complex employee relations matters, investigations, and performance management processes
• Coach managers on accountability, difficult conversations, and people leadership skills
• Partner on hiring strategy, onboarding programme design, and employee retention initiatives
• Ensure clients remain compliant with federal and state employment law, and develop handbooks, policies, and job architecture
• Conduct HR audits and translate people metrics into actionable recommendations

• 10 or more years of progressive HR experience at Senior HRBP, HR Director, VP of HR, or equivalent level
• Direct experience partnering with C-suite and executive leadership teams
• Strong working knowledge of federal and state employment law
• Proven ability to lead strategic HR initiatives while executing at a tactical level
• Ability to manage multiple client relationships simultaneously
• SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification is an advantage but not required
