Head of Finance - Interim

This is a senior interim role supporting a fast-growing, FCA-regulated fintech through a critical period. The successful candidate will report directly to the CEO, take ownership of the finance function, and provide immediate leadership across financial controls, statutory reporting, and an ongoing audit. The role is typically structured around three days per week in the London office, with some flexibility for those seeking a slightly reduced working week.

Beyond the audit and controls agenda, the post-holder will contribute to the wider strategic direction of the business, including supporting investor relationships and any fundraising activity. Exposure to structured finance or warehouse funding within a lending environment is considered advantageous, though not essential given the existing in-house expertise.

• Take ownership of an ongoing statutory audit and ensure timely, accurate completion
• Maintain and strengthen the financial control environment across the business
• Lead and manage the finance function and team on a day-to-day basis
• Partner with the CEO and leadership team to support strategic and operational priorities
• Provide credible financial reporting and insight at ExCo and Board level
• Support fundraising activity and manage relationships with investors and external stakeholders

• ACA qualification with a strong audit and technical accounting background
• Significant experience in banking, specialist lending, fintech, or a comparable regulated financial services environment
• Proven track record leading a finance function or team
• Strong senior stakeholder management skills and the credibility to operate at Board level
• Experience supporting fundraising, investor relations, or external stakeholder engagement
• Immediately available or available at short notice for a 3 to 6 month assignment
