Fractional Chief Legal Counsel or General Counsel (Advisor Network)

Legal advisors joining the network are matched with client needs as they arise, covering hedge funds, private equity firms, and family offices. Client origination and engagement management are handled by Arootah, allowing advisors to focus on delivery.

Note: joining the network does not guarantee immediate placement. Advisors are engaged on an as-needed basis depending on client demand and fit. This is a part-time advisory role suited to senior legal professionals with existing commitments who seek flexible, high-quality engagements in the alternatives space.

• Provide fractional legal counsel to alternative investment clients on project-based engagements
• Advise hedge funds, private equity firms, and family offices on legal and regulatory matters
• Deliver expert legal guidance aligned to each client's specific requirements and timeline
• Manage legal workstreams independently while coordinating with Arootah on client engagement logistics
• Contribute specialist expertise across areas such as fund structure, compliance, and contract review

• Demonstrated senior legal experience, ideally at General Counsel or Chief Legal Officer level
• Background in the alternative investment sector, including hedge funds, private equity, or family offices
• Ability to operate independently on project-based engagements with minimal oversight
• Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks relevant to alternative investments
• Availability to commit 10 to 20 hours per week across engagements as they arise
