A part-time fractional Financial Controller role supporting multiple clients with financial reporting, accounting oversight, compliance, and FP&A insights to support business growth.
FoundersIQ is seeking a part-time Financial Controller to join its fractional finance team, supporting a portfolio of startup and growth-stage clients. The role centres on preparing and reviewing financial statements, managing day-to-day accounting activities, and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards.
The successful candidate will also deliver financial analysis and FP&A insights, offering strategic recommendations to help clients scale efficiently. Experience with ERP systems including NetSuite, Microsoft 365, and Sage is preferred. CPA or equivalent certification is a bonus, as is prior public accounting or management experience.
- Prepare and review financial statements for multiple clients
- Oversee financial reporting processes and ensure accuracy
- Manage day-to-day accounting activities and month-end close
- Perform detailed financial analysis and deliver FP&A insights
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards
- Provide strategic financial recommendations to support client growth
- 5+ years of experience in a financial controller role
- Demonstrated experience working with startups or in fast-paced environments
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in finance and accounting
- Ability to work independently and manage remote client relationships
- Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, Microsoft 365, or Sage
- CPA or relevant certification preferred; degree in Finance or Accounting advantageous
