Fractional Financial Controller

BrandGuard Vents manufactures patented ember- and flame-resistant vent products designed to protect homes from wildfire. Part of the international Tenmat Group, the business combines the focus of a US operation with the support of a global passive fire protection company. With wildfire risk increasing across California and beyond, the business is experiencing strong demand.

This fractional engagement covers ownership of US financial reporting, inventory accounting, and planning functions. The successful candidate will work directly with BrandGuard and Tenmat finance leadership, with meaningful input into commercial decision-making. The initial engagement has the option to extend, with full flexibility over scheduling provided outcomes are delivered to agreed deadlines.

• Prepare monthly management accounts and manage the month-end close process
• Perform inventory valuation, product costing, and variance analysis
• Develop and maintain budgets, forecasts, and KPI reporting
• Monitor cash flow and working capital positions
• Support audit processes and liaise with external auditors
• Identify and recommend process improvement opportunities across finance operations

• CPA qualification preferred
• 7 or more years of experience in manufacturing or distribution finance
• Strong expertise in inventory and cost accounting
• Proficient with ERP systems and advanced Excel
• Able to work independently, manage own schedule, and meet agreed deadlines
