Interim Director of Financial Planning & Analytics

This six-month interim engagement, reporting directly to the CFO, requires a hands-on leader to guide a mid-sized FinTech through a period of transition. The director will own enterprise-wide budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning, while also leading the Data and Analytics function and the organisation's Data Centre of Excellence. The role carries high visibility across Finance, Sales, Marketing, Product, Operations, and Technology.

Beyond core FP&A responsibilities, the director will support Corporate Development activities including M&A due diligence, establish centralised data governance frameworks and KPI definitions, and deliver data-driven recommendations to executive leadership on growth and long-term value creation. The position is based in the Toronto Financial District with two days per week in office.

• Lead enterprise-wide budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning processes
• Develop financial models, conduct scenario analysis, and build business cases for strategic initiatives and transformation projects
• Support Corporate Development activities including due diligence for M&A and partnership transactions
• Lead the Data and Analytics function and Data Centre of Excellence initiatives
• Establish and maintain centralised data governance frameworks, KPI definitions, and enterprise reporting standards
• Act as a trusted finance and analytics adviser to senior leadership across multiple departments

• Significant experience in FP&A and analytics leadership roles, preferably in FinTech or entrepreneurial financial services
• Demonstrated experience working directly with executive leadership teams
• Experience supporting buy-side or sell-side transactions is advantageous
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, Power BI, financial modelling, and enterprise planning systems such as Vena Solutions
• Strong understanding of data governance, reporting infrastructure, and enterprise analytics best practices
