Director of Finance (Interim) at oolu

A client of oolu is seeking an experienced interim Director of Finance to provide executive-level financial leadership during a transition period. The engagement runs until a permanent Director of Finance is hired, with a start date of early August and an expected duration of 3-4 months. The role reports directly to the executive C-suite and requires a hands-on finance leader who can step in quickly, build credibility, and maintain financial operations without disruption.

The successful candidate will oversee budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, cash flow management, and compliance, while also managing relationships with auditors, financial institutions, and external advisors. A CPA designation and significant senior finance leadership experience are required.

• Partner with the executive team on financial strategy, planning, and key organisational decisions.
• Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process commenced during the interim period.
• Oversee financial reporting, cash flow management, and ongoing financial analysis.
• Ensure strong financial controls, governance, and compliance with applicable accounting standards.
• Manage relationships with auditors, financial institutions, and external advisors.
• Prepare financial reports and presentations for senior leadership, Boards, and Finance and Audit Committees.

• Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation required.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• Significant senior finance leadership experience in roles such as Director of Finance, Controller, VP Finance, or CFO.
• Strong expertise in budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and financial management.
• Experience working directly with executive leadership teams and Boards.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate financial data into clear business insights.
