Partner directly with the President to bring operational clarity, structure, and accountability across a growing organisation, identifying inefficiencies and implementing scalable processes.
This interim COO engagement involves working closely with the President to assess and improve the organisation's operational foundation. The successful candidate will evaluate departmental performance, workflows, communication channels, and accountability structures, then develop and execute practical improvement plans across operations, finance, HR, and fleet functions.
The role suits a hands-on operational leader who is equally comfortable setting strategic direction and getting into the details. Compensation is $80 to $110 per hour, on a flexible contract basis shaped around candidate availability and organisational need.
- Partner with the President as a trusted operational adviser, providing guidance on structure and priorities
- Assess departmental workflows, communication channels, and accountability measures to identify gaps and inefficiencies
- Develop practical improvement plans and drive their execution across the organisation
- Establish scalable processes, operating procedures, and clear reporting structures
- Lead cross-functional alignment across operations, finance, HR, and fleet functions
- Support the implementation and optimisation of new systems and technology initiatives
- Prior experience as a COO, VP of Operations, General Manager, or operational consultant
- Demonstrated success evaluating and improving organisational structures and performance
- Experience leading change management initiatives in complex environments
- Strong understanding of business operations, finance, and HR
- Background in service, industrial, construction, manufacturing, transportation, or fleet environments preferred
- Track record of building scalable systems and driving operational excellence
