Fractional Chief Information Officer

DiversyFund, a fintech company focused on democratising access to private-market investing, is looking for a Fractional CIO to own the operational and strategic side of its technology function. The role sits alongside a strong CTO who leads architecture and product engineering. The CIO's focus is complementary: taking what is built and making it run reliably in production, driving adoption across internal teams, and giving leadership clear visibility into delivery and outcomes.

This is a builder-of-systems-and-teams role. You will own the technology roadmap, operationalise platform capabilities, design and recruit the technology organisation, manage information security and governance, and translate business objectives into prioritised technology outcomes. The company operates in a regulated financial-services environment, so rigour around compliance, access control, and incident response is essential.

• Own the technology roadmap, backlog, and delivery cadence, ensuring clear ownership, estimates, and status visibility across all workstreams
• Manage the path from built to live and adopted, covering deployment, configuration, testing, monitoring, and end-user enablement
• Design the technology organisation, defining roles and recruiting, onboarding, and managing technical staff and vendors
• Translate business objectives such as capital raising, investor experience, and new product initiatives into prioritised technology outcomes
• Own information security posture including access control, secrets management, endpoint auditing, and data-integrity controls
• Establish IT governance and business continuity practices appropriate to a regulated financial-services environment

• Demonstrated experience as a CIO or senior technology operations leader, ideally within fintech or regulated financial services
• Proven ability to operationalise technology platforms and drive adoption across non-technical business teams
• Strong background in technology programme management, roadmap sequencing, and delivery reporting
• Experience building and structuring technology teams, including vendor and contractor management
• Solid understanding of information security, governance, and compliance in a regulated environment
• Ability to communicate technology decisions and trade-offs clearly to executive and non-technical leadership
