Fractional CFO

The CFO Centre USA is recruiting experienced, client-focused Chief Financial Officers to join its portfolio CFO model, serving owner-managed businesses with revenues between $2M and $100M. The position is self-employed and combines the autonomy of independent consulting with the support of an established global organisation.

Successful candidates will work directly with business owners and CEOs to identify and deliver the financial metrics that matter most, whether that involves growth planning, acquisitions, consolidation, or exit preparation. The model is designed to give SMBs access to senior financial expertise on a flexible, part-time basis of 10 to 20 hours per week.

• Provide ongoing financial leadership to a portfolio of small and mid-size business clients
• Collaborate directly with business owners and CEOs to define and deliver key financial outcomes
• Support clients through growth, acquisition, consolidation, or exit planning scenarios
• Identify the financial metrics and drivers that create meaningful impact for each client
• Operate within the CFO Centre's defined service model while managing client relationships with appropriate autonomy
• Contribute to a local, national, and global network of portfolio CFOs

• Proven experience as a Chief Financial Officer, ideally across multiple business contexts
• Strong client-facing skills and the ability to build trusted relationships with business owners
• Entrepreneurial mindset and comfort operating in a self-employed, portfolio-based model
• Experience working with SMBs or privately held companies in the $2M to $100M revenue range
• Based in or near the Worcester or Boston area
• Ability to manage multiple client engagements simultaneously at a part-time commitment level
