Prime Time International
Interim Chief Financial Officer
An interim CFO engagement to stabilise finance operations and provide strategic leadership at a multi-entity fresh produce business during a 2 to 5 month transition period.
Prime Time International is seeking an experienced Interim CFO to provide immediate financial leadership across its affiliated entities during a defined transition period. The primary focus of the first 90 days is stabilising month-end close, cash management, and financial reporting, while delivering a findings report to the CEO and Board.
Beyond stabilisation, the role carries full strategic and operational responsibility: leading budgeting and long-range planning, managing banking relationships and covenant compliance, overseeing consolidated and intercompany reporting, and ensuring adherence to California payroll, tax, and wage-and-hour requirements. The engagement concludes with a structured knowledge transfer to a permanent CFO. On-site presence at the La Quinta headquarters is required, with regular travel to Bakersfield, Oxnard, Camarillo, and Somis operations.
- Assess current finance and accounting operations, controls, and systems, then deliver a priorities report to the CEO and Board within the first 30 to 90 days.
- Stabilise month-end close processes, cash management, and establish 13-week cash flow forecasting and liquidity monitoring.
- Oversee accounting, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, treasury, and general ledger functions across all affiliated entities.
- Prepare and present financial results, forecasts, and strategic recommendations to the Board of Directors and its committees.
- Strengthen internal controls, segregation of duties, and ensure compliance with federal and California tax and wage-and-hour requirements.
- Document finance policies and procedures, mentor the finance team, and lead a structured handoff to a permanent CFO.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with 12 or more years of progressive finance and accounting experience including at least 5 years as a CFO, VP of Finance, or Controller.
- Demonstrated record of stabilising finance functions during periods of transition, turnaround, or rapid organisational change.
- Experience presenting financial results and recommendations to a Board of Directors.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, cash management, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls, including California payroll and tax requirements.
- Multi-entity organisational experience and ability to manage consolidated and intercompany reporting.
- Ability to start immediately with minimal ramp-up time; bilingual English and Spanish preferred.
