Job Summary

A medium-sized private healthcare services organisation seeks an Interim CFO to provide executive financial leadership, stabilise cash flow and EBITDA performance, and support stakeholders through a period of significant organisational change.

This is a 3 to 6 month interim engagement for a national, private healthcare services organisation serving payer and healthcare markets through a distributed workforce. The business is navigating growth-related complexity, cash flow pressures, and EBITDA performance expectations, and requires an experienced finance executive to step in immediately with steady leadership and sound judgement.

The Interim CFO will assume full ownership of the finance function, lead a remote finance team, and serve as a trusted adviser to the CEO, investors, and the broader leadership team. A key priority in 2026 is supporting a planned liquidity event alongside ongoing financial planning, governance, and lender relationship management.

Job Responsibilities
  • Lead the full finance function and manage a geographically dispersed team of finance professionals.
  • Partner with the CEO, executive leadership, and investors to support strategic and operational decision-making.
  • Assess EBITDA performance drivers and identify concrete opportunities for improvement.
  • Oversee cash flow forecasting, liquidity management, working capital, and debt structure evaluation.
  • Drive budgeting, forecasting, and FP&A processes with rigour and discipline.
  • Maintain strong financial controls, governance frameworks, and reporting standards throughout the engagement.
Job Requirments
  • Prior CFO experience within healthcare services, managed care, or healthcare payer organisations.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare payer economics, reimbursement models, and services operations.
  • Experience in private equity-backed or investor-sponsored environments is highly regarded.
  • Demonstrated capability navigating cash flow challenges, lender relationships, and debt structures.
  • Proven track record improving EBITDA outcomes and leading sophisticated FP&A functions.
  • Executive presence with clear board and investor communication skills.
