Interim Group Financial Controller

This interim role sits directly beneath the CFO at a PE-backed international business undergoing acquisition and integration activity. The Group Financial Controller will own the full financial control environment across multiple international entities, covering consolidations, statutory reporting, IFRS compliance, and external audit management. The position also requires driving finance transformation, improving reporting systems, and designing future-state KPI frameworks.

Beyond technical control responsibilities, the role carries significant leadership accountability, including developing an international finance team across multiple regions and delivering high-quality reporting to the Board, Executive, and shareholders.

• Lead Group financial control and consolidation across multiple international entities
• Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting cycle including Board and shareholder packs
• Ensure IFRS compliance, statutory reporting, and robust financial governance
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, and cash flow reporting
• Drive finance transformation, reporting automation, and process improvement initiatives
• Lead the finance integration of acquisitions and support broader M&A activity

• ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent professional qualification
• Extensive post-qualified experience in multinational organisations
• Strong IFRS expertise and proven Group consolidation experience
• Background in budgeting, forecasting, and business planning in complex environments
• Experience leading finance transformation or systems improvement programmes
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing international finance teams
