CFO/Interim CFO (Law Firm experience)

This interim CFO engagement is with a nationally recognised law firm operating across all 50 US states, delivering real estate legal services to private lenders. The firm handles complex transactions including rapid closings, foreclosure and loss mitigation, title review, and co-lender agreements.

The role encompasses oversight of corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls. The CFO will also manage payroll via ADP, attorney trust accounts, cash flow, banking relationships, and lead account and financial system migrations. Strategic input to the CEO and Board is central to the position.

• Oversee corporate accounting, regulatory reporting, and the development of internal control policies and procedures
• Manage payroll processing, reconciliation, and reporting through ADP
• Lead migrations of accounts and financial systems with minimal disruption to operations
• Provide strategic financial recommendations to the CEO, Board, and executive leadership team
• Monitor banking activities and maintain effective cash flow management
• Drive the firm's budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning processes

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting; MBA or advanced degree preferred
• Professional accounting designation (CA, CMA, or CPA) preferred
• Minimum 5 years of senior financial management experience within a law firm setting
• Proven experience with ADP payroll, reconciliation, account migration, and attorney trust account management
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels
• High level of integrity, sound judgement, and strong problem-solving capability
