Fractional CFO - FinTech Digital Assets and Payments

This is a board-facing fractional engagement with a growth-stage FinTech operating in digital assets and payments across international markets. The successful candidate will work three days per week alongside the founder and leadership team, owning the financial strategy and providing the commercial rigour required to support an ambitious expansion. The role carries direct exposure to AIM admission activity, investor fundraising, and regulatory governance.

The position requires a qualified accountant with demonstrable experience at CFO or Finance Director level in a high-growth environment, ideally with prior exposure to digital assets, payments, and public markets processes including working with NOMADs and brokers.

• Lead financial strategy, planning, and forecasting as the senior finance voice to the CEO and Board
• Drive investor fundraising activity, including preparation of financial models, investor materials, and data rooms
• Support AIM admission ambitions by collaborating with NOMADs, brokers, and external advisers
• Build and maintain robust financial controls, reporting frameworks, and governance structures
• Provide commercial insight across pricing, unit economics, and capital allocation decisions
• Manage ongoing relationships with banks, auditors, investors, and professional advisers

• Qualified accountant (ICAEW, ACCA, or CIMA) with senior finance leadership experience
• Proven background within FinTech, with exposure to digital assets and/or payments
• Demonstrable experience of AIM admissions and working with NOMADs
• Strong investor fundraising credentials from initial materials through to deal close
• Experience operating at CFO or Finance Director level in a high-growth, entrepreneurial business
• Desirable: experience scaling finance functions in early- to growth-stage companies, international or cross-border finance exposure, and prior fractional or portfolio CFO roles
