A luxury skincare brand is seeking a fractional CFO to lead financial strategy, forecasting, cash flow management, and reporting as the business scales across multiple retail channels.
Shani Darden Skin Care, a luxury skincare brand founded by celebrity esthetician Shani Darden and stocked at Sephora, Nordstrom, and Violet Grey, is entering a phase of accelerated growth. The business requires a seasoned fractional CFO to serve as a strategic partner to the founder, overseeing financial planning, cash flow, and the operational infrastructure needed to support sustainable scaling across DTC, wholesale, and international channels.
The ideal candidate brings direct experience with founder-led consumer or beauty brands, understands the dynamics of omnichannel retail and inventory-based businesses, and is comfortable moving between high-level strategy and hands-on execution. This is a part-time, remote engagement of approximately 20 hours per week.
- Lead annual budgeting, long-range planning, and rolling financial forecasts
- Manage cash flow forecasting and working capital to support business growth
- Develop financial models for product launches, inventory planning, and growth initiatives
- Analyse profitability across DTC, Sephora, Amazon, international, and wholesale channels
- Oversee accounting and month-end close processes to ensure accurate, timely financial reporting
- Support fundraising efforts, investor reporting, and board presentations
- 10 or more years of finance and accounting experience, including CFO or senior finance leadership roles
- Background in consumer packaged goods, beauty, skincare, wellness, or luxury consumer brands
- Strong understanding of ecommerce, wholesale, omnichannel retail, and inventory-based businesses
- Proficiency in financial modelling, forecasting, and cash flow management
- Experience with QuickBooks, NetSuite, or comparable ERP and accounting platforms
- Ability to translate financial data into clear strategic recommendations for a founder-led team
