Baker Tilly is seeking a Principal to lead its Office of the CFO Advisory practice, advising CFOs, finance leaders, private equity sponsors and portfolio company executives on finance transformation, reporting, transactions and organisational scale.
Baker Tilly's Office of the CFO Advisory practice partners with CFOs, finance leaders, private equity sponsors and portfolio company executives to strengthen finance organisations, modernise reporting and decision support, and build the capabilities needed to support growth. The practice supports clients across acquisitions, divestitures, integrations, capital raises, finance transformation initiatives and other strategic transactions.
As Principal, you will serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership teams while shaping the future growth of the practice. You will work closely with firm leadership to expand market presence, deepen client relationships, develop talent and deliver meaningful outcomes across a broad range of industries and business environments.
- Lead Office of the CFO engagements across finance transformation, process improvement, technical accounting and financial reporting modernisation.
- Advise clients through acquisitions, divestitures, carve-outs, integrations and other strategic transactions, including due diligence readiness and post-close execution.
- Help clients design and scale high-performing finance organisations capable of meeting growth and stakeholder demands.
- Develop and execute business development strategies to grow revenue, expand client relationships and increase market presence.
- Build referral networks with private equity sponsors, investment professionals, attorneys and lenders.
- Mentor and coach engagement team members, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous professional development.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- CPA preferred; CFA, MBA or other relevant credentials are a plus.
- 15 or more years of experience across audit, accounting advisory, consulting, transaction advisory and/or Office of the CFO services.
- Demonstrated success originating and developing executive-level advisory relationships with private equity sponsors, CFOs and portfolio company management teams.
- Strong knowledge of controllership, financial reporting, finance transformation, and accounting operations.
- Experience with SEC reporting, IPO readiness or public company environments is advantageous.
