Fractional CFO

Anexus CFO is a one-year-old fractional CFO and business advisory firm headquartered in Fort Worth, Texas. The firm serves clients with revenues ranging from pre-revenue to $35 million across a broad range of industries, typically during periods of transition such as startup, growth, turnaround, capital raising, or winding down. Each engagement is tailored to the specific client situation.

The firm is building out its team of fractional CFOs to serve current and prospective clients. Internal support including accountants, FP&A analysts, and paralegal resources is available to assist CFOs in client engagements. The position is remote with a preference for candidates based in or near Fort Worth, Texas. Time commitment varies by client and project, with the expectation of approximately 10 to 20 hours per week per engagement.

• Provide senior financial leadership and advisory services to clients across a range of business transitions
• Prepare and maintain budgets and financial models using Excel
• Oversee and manage accounting functions and staff on behalf of clients
• Support transactions including M&A, equity capital raises, and debt capital raises
• Assess client financial health and recommend strategic actions aligned to their stage and goals
• Collaborate with internal Anexus support staff including accountants and FP&A resources

• Prior experience as a CFO, VP of Finance, or equivalent senior finance role, or senior finance role at a private equity, private credit, or banking institution
• 7 to 10 years of finance experience minimum
• Demonstrated ability to build budgets and financial models in Excel
• Solid accounting knowledge with experience managing accountants
• Transaction experience in M&A, equity, or debt capital raising preferred
• CPA, CFA, or MBA preferred but not required
