Interim Chief Executive Officer

Kinexus Group is seeking a senior executive to serve as Interim CEO during an organisational transition expected to last up to six months. The role carries responsibility for maintaining operational continuity, refining governance structures in collaboration with the Board of Directors and Chief Elected Officials Board, and ensuring transparent communication with all key stakeholders.

The Interim CEO will lead a workforce of nearly 100 employees across a geographically distributed model, overseeing multiple subsidiaries that deliver workforce, economic, and community development programmes statewide. Core priorities include ensuring legal and fiduciary compliance across the enterprise, implementing Management Service Agreements for shared services, strengthening external relationships with government, philanthropy, and industry partners, and cultivating a performance-driven culture aligned with the organisation's mission.

• Provide strategic leadership and vision across Kinexus Group and all subsidiary entities, ensuring mission alignment and organisational coherence.
• Serve as primary liaison to the Board of Directors and Chief Elected Officials Board, delivering timely reporting on strategy, risk, and performance.
• Refine governance documents including bylaws, interlocal agreements, and foundational frameworks in partnership with board leadership.
• Represent the organisation with federal, state, and local government bodies, funding agencies, philanthropy, and community partners.
• Oversee enterprise-wide strategy execution, ensuring subsidiary leaders maintain operational autonomy within approved governance parameters.
• Partner with the CFO to safeguard financial health, manage risk, and ensure compliant stewardship of resources across the enterprise.

• Demonstrated executive leadership experience within a complex, multi-entity or subsidiary organisational structure.
• Proven ability to manage boards and govern with transparency, accountability, and strong stakeholder communication.
• Experience operating within geographically distributed teams and leading high-performing management groups.
• Track record of cultivating partnerships across government, private industry, and philanthropic sectors.
• Strong process orientation and systems thinking with the ability to drive organisational integration and performance improvement.
• Familiarity with nonprofit governance, regulatory compliance, and fiduciary responsibilities preferred.
