Interim VP Supply Chain

The Interim VP Supply Chain will provide executive oversight across a complex healthcare supply chain, encompassing procurement, sourcing, logistics, inventory, pharmaceuticals, medical equipment and purchased services. The core mandate is to stabilise operations during a leadership transition, deliver measurable cost and performance improvements, and ensure clinical teams remain fully supplied at all sites.

The role requires close collaboration with pharmacy, clinical engineering, finance and facilities leadership, as well as responsibility for regulatory compliance including DSCSA and controlled-substance requirements. The interim leader will document strategy, strengthen the leadership bench and prepare the function for a permanent successor.

• Assess the supply chain organisation, processes and systems, and deliver a prioritised improvement plan to executive leadership.
• Oversee procurement, sourcing, contracting, logistics, distribution, inventory management and purchased services across all sites.
• Drive measurable savings through value analysis, GPO optimisation and renegotiation of key supplier agreements.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements, including DSCSA and controlled-substance rules.
• Strengthen supply chain resilience through improved shortage response, supplier diversification and recall management processes.
• Lead, coach and stabilise a large, multi-site supply chain team, maintaining engagement and retention through the transition.

• Proven executive leadership experience in healthcare supply chain, covering procurement, logistics and pharmaceuticals.
• Deep knowledge of pharmaceutical supply compliance, including DSCSA and controlled-substance regulations.
• Demonstrated ability to drive spend analytics, cost savings and financial reporting in a complex, multi-site environment.
• Experience managing supplier performance, contract risk and third-party risk frameworks.
• Strong cross-functional partnering skills with clinical, nursing, pharmacy, finance and IT stakeholders.
• Track record of stabilising and developing large supply chain teams during organisational transitions.
