Theta Neurotech is seeking a fractional VP of Market Access and Reimbursement to develop and execute coverage, coding, and payment strategies for its wearable EEG solution targeting drug-resistant epilepsy. The role involves directing payer outreach across commercial insurers, Medicare, Medicaid, and health systems, while building economic value propositions and overseeing health economic and outcomes research plans.
The VP will define pricing and reimbursement pathways, manage policy dossiers and external consultants, and collaborate with clinical, regulatory, commercial, and product teams. Regular responsibilities include leading cross-functional meetings, monitoring reimbursement policy trends, and delivering executive-level recommendations aligned with clinical evidence and product launch timelines.
- Develop and execute payer engagement strategies across commercial insurers, Medicare, Medicaid, and health systems
- Build economic value propositions and guide health economic and outcomes research (HEOR) planning
- Define pricing, coding, and reimbursement pathways for a novel wearable medical device
- Manage policy dossiers and coordinate external market access consultants
- Collaborate cross-functionally with clinical, regulatory, commercial, and product teams to align access strategies with launch plans
- Monitor reimbursement policy trends and prepare executive-level updates and recommendations
- Demonstrated expertise in market access, health economics, and reimbursement strategy for medical devices, diagnostics, or digital health
- Strong track record engaging payers, providers, and health systems, including negotiating coverage and coding pathways
- Proficiency in developing economic models, value narratives, and evidence plans that support favourable coverage decisions
- Solid understanding of U.S. healthcare financing, including commercial insurance, Medicare, Medicaid, and relevant regulatory frameworks
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced, early-stage environment
- Advanced degree in health policy, health economics, business, public health, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience
