Interim Vice President of Human Resources

Ravelin Defense is seeking an interim Vice President of Human Resources to join its Senior Leadership Team and oversee the full scope of HR operations. The role carries significant responsibility, including binding decision-making authority, and covers recruitment, compensation, benefits administration, employee relations, and compliance with state and federal regulations. The VP will also supervise the Security and Administrative departments and serve as the company's Assistant Facility Security Officer.

The role requires a hands-on leader comfortable operating in a regulated, defence environment. This includes administering EEO and Affirmative Action programmes, managing EEOC charges and unemployment matters, and maintaining employee handbooks and policy documentation. Training, performance reviews, onboarding, and exit processes all fall within scope.

• Lead daily HR operations covering recruitment, retention, compensation, and benefits administration
• Oversee onboarding, exit interviews, performance review processes, and internal transfer programmes
• Administer health, welfare, and government-mandated benefit plans, contributing to benefits decision-making
• Manage employee relations matters including complaints, disciplinary actions, harassment allegations, and EEOC charges
• Develop and maintain HR policies, procedures manuals, and the employee handbook
• Supervise HR, Security, and Administrative staff, and serve as Assistant Facility Security Officer

• Demonstrated senior HR leadership experience, ideally in a regulated or defence-adjacent environment
• Strong knowledge of state and federal employment law, EEO requirements, and Affirmative Action obligations
• Experience administering comprehensive benefits programmes including workers' compensation
• Proven ability to exercise independent judgement and make binding decisions on HR matters
• Competence managing employee relations issues including investigations and external complaints
• Ability to represent the company at community events and stay current with HR developments through professional networks
