Interim VP of Finance

This interim engagement, based in Orange County on a hybrid schedule, calls for a senior finance leader to serve as a strategic partner to executive leadership during a critical transformation period. The consultant will assess existing financial processes, implement best practices, and elevate the capability of the internal finance team. The role spans financial modelling, forecasting, budgeting, multi-entity reporting, and controls documentation across a complex international business structure. International and foreign currency experience are required, as is the ability to deliver executive-level insights quickly and credibly.

The contract is structured on a W2 basis for 3-4 months, with a rate of USD 80-100 per hour as advertised by the hiring party.

• Partner with executive leadership on strategic financial planning and decision-making
• Build sophisticated financial models, forecasting tools, and executive reporting packages
• Evaluate and improve budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
• Establish and document scalable finance policies, procedures, and internal controls
• Mentor and develop finance team members, driving accountability and performance improvement
• Deliver ad hoc strategic analyses, presentations, and business performance assessments

• 10 or more years of progressive experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or equivalent leadership roles
• Prior experience at Director of FP&A, VP of Finance, or comparable seniority
• Demonstrated international business and multi-currency (FX) reporting experience
• Advanced Excel skills and strong financial modelling capability
• Proven ability to improve finance processes, reporting accuracy, and operational effectiveness
• Strong executive presence with the ability to influence and advise senior leadership
