An interim VP Finance role leading treasury, balance sheet management, and interest rate risk for a growing financial institution, reporting to the CFO and presenting strategy to executive leadership and the board.
This interim role sits at the intersection of treasury, balance sheet management, and risk for a growing financial institution. The VP Finance will lead asset-liability management, liquidity forecasting, hedging strategy, and NII/NIM modelling, while also overseeing CECL methodology and enterprise risk support. The position carries significant board-level visibility, with regular presentations of financial strategy and risk assessments to executive and committee stakeholders.
The successful candidate will bring deep expertise in ALM, interest rate risk, and financial forecasting, and will provide leadership to an existing finance team. Prior credit union experience is considered an advantage. An MBA and/or CPA qualification is preferred, along with strong capability to translate complex financial analysis into clear executive-level insights.
- Lead treasury, investment, and balance sheet management operations including liquidity and interest rate risk oversight.
- Oversee ALM modelling, hedging strategy design, and liquidity forecasting.
- Drive NII/NIM forecasting, profitability modelling, budgeting, and concentration risk management.
- Manage CECL methodology, calculations, and reporting in support of enterprise risk initiatives.
- Present financial strategies and risk assessments to executive leadership and board-level committees.
- Develop finance policies, maintain regulatory compliance, and lead a high-performing finance team.
- Ten or more years of progressive finance leadership within banking, credit unions, or financial services.
- Deep expertise in ALM, treasury, liquidity management, budgeting, and hedging.
- Strong working knowledge of CECL, balance sheet risk management, and financial forecasting.
- MBA and/or CPA preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex financial concepts into clear executive-level communications.
